That's great news indeed.
How's the plantation running under the new Directorship?
There is a lot of expectation from Dr. Subba. I am sure he is under a tremendous pressure to deliver. Hope he is getting enough support from the government. _________________ It May Be Difficult, But It Aint Impossible |

Rongo slidely get changes in its own colour. recently the road from kumai to rongo is carpeting.most amazing is that after independence Dhapgaon of rongo is geting facility of road carpeting, electricity is not it amazing....? now mailadaju can drive his brother's yamaha from kumai to upper dhap gaon.
Inspite of all, there are tension in doors cause gorkha Janmukti Morcha begin its gorkhaland awareness camp in this area, the Adivasi of that area restricted to GJMM in support of CPM.you all know Rongo's main shoping center is in Doors, all burden of that agitation will carry by rongo in near future cause all other three subdivisins have its own bazar for all goods but rongo depends in doors.
It is not fact that rongo is not intrested in gorkhaland campaning, there are two leaders in GJMM centralcomitee from rongo, all its citizen take part in this agitation from the begining. |

Sudash, thanks for the update!
I know the agitation in doors is going to affect Rongo a lot - but then these are necessary troubles in order to achieve the big goal...
I remember "juga tipdai jangalko bato kumai ga'ko" - It'll be interesting to ride a bike through the same forest.....or may be not...
Last time I went to Rongo, I felt like crying to see the forest between Rongo and Parengtar completely disappear. I hope same thing is not gonna happen on the other side of the 'gaon'. _________________ It May Be Difficult, But It Aint Impossible |

Sudash, I was mistaken...I thought there was a new road being constructed between Rongo and Kumai via the forest across Naksal khola...
Things only became clear after I read the news in Darpan - that the old road from Kumani to Rongo is being repaired. Aba alik din ta sululu kudne bho gadi - herum kati ko pakka kam hune ho _________________ It May Be Difficult, But It Aint Impossible |

| It is good to hear all rongo lover that road carpeting is finished......and and and the pradhanmantri sadak yojan has sanctioned near about 5 crore for maintainance of road for Rongo......the tourisum department sanctioned 1 crore for basic tourisum devlopment at Dalgaon.........there are several swajal pariyojana at rongo where P.H.E. has sanctioned near about 50 lakhs..............................! there is one proverb"jab upparwale dete hai to chappar pharke k dete hai" is not it! |

cheers... hic..
this feels like the kuna ko momo dokan trying to attract business with its old fashioned homemade jaad, steamy momos & greasy giumas..
while a brand spanking new mcdonalds-cafe-coffe-day-barista has opened across the street in all its neon lit airconditioned glory..
hic on the local stuff... all about the roots. _________________ Kalimpong.info |
